1. Sarah Anne1 Harrison (Robert, #2) was born on 18 Sep 1877 at 25 Tulketh St., Southport, Lancashire, England.1 She married Joseph Edwin Stamford Hill, son of John William Hill and Alice Ann Casson, on 14 Sep 1912 at Fresno, Fresno Co., CA.2 She died on 20 Mar 1931 at 2:25 A.M., St. Agnes Hospital, Fresno, Fresno Co., CA, at age 53 Sarah died in the hospital one day after an operation. The cause of death was listed as "Hyperthyroidiam (topic adenoma) and Auncular Filillation" which she had for 17 years. A contributing cause was " Cardiac Dilatations."3 She was cremated on 23 Mar 1931 at Fresno Crematory, Fresno, Fresno Co., CA.4
She also went by the name of "Sally." She immigrated between 1911 and 1912 to Fresno, Fresno Co., CA.5 She was Home Nurse in 1920 at Fresno, Fresno Co., CA.6 It was said that Sally, was born at 23 Stamford Rd., Birkdale, Southport, England. Indeed she was there for the 1891 Census, but her sister Lily and her birthplace is just given as Southport, while the other siblings are given as Birkdale. From the birthdates it appears that they moved from Southport to Birkdale around 1881. Sally was a practical nurse to Alice Casson Hill, and came to the U.S. with her, where she married Joe. Sally had a strange disorder. Around May she would start sleeping a little more each day until she would wake up only to eat. In June they would take her up to Huntington Lake, about 75 miles north-east of Fresno, where they had a cabin. She would sleep all the way up and through the first night. The next day she would wake up with no sleeping disorder. Another strange disorder is that she kept changing her birthdate. In almost every document she has a different birthdate. This was probably due to the fact that she was 4 years older than her husband Joe. Sally died during an operation for gout.
2. Robert2 Harrison (Anthony, #4) was born on 14 Jul 1849 at Hopwood St., Liverpool, Lancashire, England.7 He married Emma Anne Hibbert (see #3), daughter of Edward Hibbert and Sarah (--?--), circa 1876. He died circa 1926 at England.
He was Painter in 1886 at 29 Stamford Road, Birkdale, Formby, Ormskirk, Lancashire, England.8 He appeared on the census of 1891 at 23 Stamford Rd., Birkdale, Southport, Lancashire, England, Clinton ? Bradburay? or Bardburing? Bunabury? is listed as a nephew.9 Robert was christened on 24 Sep 1849 at Saint Peter, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. It is said that Lily was probably a step-child by Emma Anne Hibbert's 1st marriage and that there was also another step-daughter named Belle. If this is true than Sarah would also be a step-daughter, this does not seem to be the case but I will have to wait for Sarah's birth certificate to prove this one way or the other. Edwin Hill does remember visiting an aunt Flo when his parents took him to England in 1920. She was his mother, Sarah's, step-sister. Sarah told Edwin that Flo was much older then herself, and that Sarah was the only one who kept in contact with her. Edwin thought Flo was Emma's daughter by a previous marriage. In the 1891 Census Robert is living at 23 Stamford Road, Birkdale, Southport, Lancashire, England. His father-in-law, Edward Hibbert, and a nephew, Clinton Bradbury are living with him. Clinton, who was born in Manchester, is 13 years old and a butcher's apprentice. Judging from his birthplace, he is probably the son of one of Emma's sisters.

Edward is listed as a Licensed Beer Seller. Edward next appears in the 1881 Census with his wife Sarah. He is listed as the 21st house on Stanford Rd in Birkdale. This my be Stamford Rd, although none of the names of the other homes in the census matches the 1891 Census. The word 'Gentleman' was listed under proffesion, and then crossed out, being replaced by 'House Owner'. This probably refers to a 'Public House', i.e. an inn or pub.
